The children’s visit to the United States

Ninos de la Amazonia is being featured in the major exhibition, ImagiNATIONS, at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.

The ‘Ninos’ were invited by the Smithsonian Institution to attend and participate in the  opening of the exhibit.

The RFUND generously sponsored the indigenous children’s trip to the United States and hosted a cocktail reception at the Museum of Natural History to raise awareness of the project and non-profit and to raise money for the children’s education. 

During their 10 day visit, the ‘Ninos‘ were also honored at the Peruvian Embassy in Washington, D.C. and at the Biblioteca Criolla in Jersey City, New Jersey.  

During their visit to the United States, the work and personalities of the ‘Ninos‘ brought light and real knowledge of the Rainforest to the United States public. 

Ninos de la Amazonia is a 501 (c) (3) that provides educational scholarships to the child photographers and other children in their villages so they can serve their communities in the future.
